CETEM takes part in the meeting of the motorcycle working group of the I_HeERO project

I_HeERO is a project promoted by the European Union to define and coordinate the implementation of the second generation eCall, a pan-European system for the detection of vehicle accidents and the automatic generation of emergency calls to 112.

CETEM participated today in the last meeting of the motorcycle working group within the I_HeERO project at the ITS Spain facilities in Madrid.

The main objective of the meeting was to determine the most important information and data to be included in eCall for motorcycles, especially considering its peculiarities and differences with four-wheeled vehicles. ECall are automatically generated emergency calls following the detection of an accident.

In addition to CETEM, the meeting included representatives of prominent partners such as Bosch, BMW, CEIT, Honda, Piaggio and the Polytechnic University of Milan.

ITS Spain is a non-profit organization founded in 2002 with the aim of bringing together the public, private and academic sectors related to Intelligent Transportation Systems, to make the mobility of people and goods more secure, sustainable and efficient.
