CETEM participates in a European project to promote the teaching of green skills

The project's goal is to develop a series of guides with recommendations on the application of green competences for sustainable development in the areas of Vocational Training in construction and electronics.

The project GREEN SKILLS steams from the challenge, especially at european level, related to facing the problem of environmental respect and climate change in an innovative and functional way.

For this reason, the project aims at producing recommendations for two categories of workers directly involved in the environmental issue, electricians and builders, with the scope of making the labour market and the economy in these two fields more environmental- friendly, respectful of Its resources and, as a consequence, more aware of its chooses.

Recommendations developed by consortium, will be the principal base for the development of the professional curriculum of these categories of workers at international level, giving contribution in this way also to the realization of European Strategy 2020, promoted by European Commission and focused on the building of the sustainable, resource- efficient, competitive and environmental- friendly economy.

The initial meeting of the project took place this week in Adana, Turkey, with a consortium made up of partners from Spain, Italy, Romania, Turkey and the United Kingdom.
