On November 16 and 17, Jesús Sanz, Deputy Technical Director of CETEM, traveled to Fundaõ to participate in the last study visit and face-to-face meeting of the European project INNO Industry, whose objective is the exchange of experiences and good practices in the field of Industry 4.0 for the improvement of regional policies in the countries participating in the project.

During the first day of the meeting, on Tuesday, November 16, the partners had the opportunity to take a guided tour of the Fundaõ Business and Shared Services Center, which was one of the best practices identified at the beginning of the project, and which seeks to promote certain growth areas such as software development, robotics, and business services, while modernizing traditional sectors.

The center is now home to 14 TICE companies, including four multinationals, which have created more than 500 highly skilled jobs. It has also spawned some 70 start-ups and more than 200 privately funded innovative projects in its first four years.

In the afternoon, CETEM also had the opportunity to participate in two very interesting and fruitful panel discussions on two very relevant topics for the INNO Industry project: the first call of the Digital Europe program to establish a network of European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH) and how to measure and evaluate the impact of innovation vouchers in the partners' regions in the short and long term.
