CETEM, FECYT and Renault award the prizes for the Chain of Innovation contest

The contest, which has been coordinated by CETEM, is aimed at students of VET in Spain and seeks to teach them how to develop and manage innovative projects.

La Torreta Secondary School from Elche (Alicante) and Inventor Cosme García High School from Logroño (La Rioja) received yesterday in Valladolid the main prizes from the Chain of Innovation contest, which in this third edition was focused on sustainable mobility. According to World Bank statistics the number of motor vehicles will have quadrupled by 2050.

At the awards ceremony held yesterday afternoon at the Renault factory in Valladolid, participated José Francisco Puche Forte, CEO of CETEM, Manuel Guillermo, director of the factory, and Ernesto Salas, director of the Renault Foundation for Sustainable Mobility, as well as representatives from FECYT.

The contest is aimed at students of VET in Spain and seeks to teach them how to develop and manage innovative projects, and it's organized by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) with the collaboration of the Renault Foundation for Sustainable Mobility (FRMS) and the Technological Center of the Furniture and Wood (CETEM).

The first prize in the category Intermediate VET has gone to the Health Transport project from La Torreta Secondary School (Elche, Alicante). In the category of Superior VET, the winner was the Bike CIKLO project from Inventor Cosme García High School (Logroño, La Rioja).
